stuck in a moment

all lesbian and gay and BTQ films are as if by destiny heart-wrencing, if not traumatic and at least sad. just like all the films about "black" people used to be. and most films about disabled people or people with impairments do the same. but of course. how could it be otherwise. like cinema in its momentary genius created one tragic moment and over the years has cast and re-cast different players forever and ever amen. all this in an attempt to present art as the imitation of life.
fuck it. that's old. it's been a while now and life has been imitating art and then most academic adventure imitates that life. it's time this got talked about. even if it meant it would put academics out of business.
actually i wish it would.
